Amy Averett

Amy Averett is one of the newest additions to GGG, joining the troupe in November 2010.  For years, she has been cajoling her friends into performing musicals like “Annie”, “Hairspray”, and “Sound of Music” in her very own homegrown productions.  Naturally her friends are very relieved that she finally started doing real musical improv and will now leave them in peace.  Amy is also a founding member of the Dancy Street D’Orchestra Musical Improv Troupe and performs with ComedySportz Austin.  When not doing improv, Amy works in the nonprofit world and was the founding Executive Director of Austin Voices for Education and Youth.  She is also a co-founder of the Ladies Underhanded Skillet Toss (LUST) event, a fundraiser for the Ladies are Funny Festival (LAFF).  She lives in a pink house with her son Walter and barky dog Jethro.
